The report shows that, during a recent 3 month period, video marketing content engaged consumers by just 3% less than paid-for advertising.
That’s huge! Billions of dollars are invested in paid-for advertising each quarter, yet it only engaged consumers by a measly 3% more than video marketing.
When you break down the report’s figures, 23% of consumers engaged with video marketing while 26% engaged with paid-for advertising. (US – Forrester 2012)
So, you’re probably spending thousands of dollars to engage 26% of people – but are you creating quality video content that will engage a further 23% of possible customers? If not, why not?
A marketing strategy that doesn’t include video is missing a huge opportunity.
The same report also shows that video content (unlike paid-for advertising) is effective at every stage of the sales-process. It increases awareness, engagement, conversions and sales. It can also be used in the after-sales process, giving customer support and building brand loyalty.
Of course you need to think about the type of video content you produce and how much you want to invest, but the potential rewards are just too good to ignore.
